SESSION INFORMATION
All of my prices and products are available upon request. A session can take place in a variety of settings, your home, a relative's home or a local park. The possibilities are endless!! You would be surprised at what great photographs you can capture in your own yard. Children tend to be more at ease in their own familiar environment or outdoors. I want to capture the "essence of their hearts" and who they "really" are. No fake grins!! I take my time with each session. I have two kids of my own and I know you can't rush them. The sessions can last anywhere from one hour to two hours, depending on the age and mood of the child. I allow for breaks, snacks, diaper changes, nursing, etc. It is my desire that this is a fun experience for everyone!!
CLOTHING
For newborns, less is more. If you want to dress them in something, let it be very simple and make sure it fits well otherwise the clothes will bunch up. For a baby who can sit up and older children simple, solid colors or simple patterns work best and help keep the focus on the person, not the clothing. I would avoid busy patterns. However these are just suggestions. Dress your child in something that is comfortable for them and expresses his/her personality. For a group, choose one to 4 colors that compliment each other, and tell everyone to find a top in one of those colors. Everyone should wear the same type of bottoms, whether it be khakis, jeans, etc. Make sure the tops are free of patterns or wording, as that may distract from faces.
PROPS
In my opinion the photograph should be about the child and not the prop. However I love to use props that will celebrate something about the child. I love special blankets, favorite toys, etc. Whatever that will help you remember them "as they REALLY are". If you like the "fairy" collection that I have in the gallery I have the props for that.
AFTER THE SESSION
After your photography session, your proofs will be available for viewing within one week. You will have access to an online gallery that will be available for 14 days. If you need to have access to the gallery after 14 days have passed, there will be a $25 republish fee. When ordering prints, payment must be made in full at the time of placing order. Your portraits will be ready within 10 days of payment for you to come and pick up. If you wish to have your portriats mailed to you additional shipping and handling charges will apply.
